Hey folks,
We have a new tenure track position in urban political geography with
an empirical focus on race, ethnicity, and/or gender (see below). If
you would forward this onward to people you think might be interested,
that would be fantastic.
Briefly, Bloomington is a super place to live in terms of food, music,
environment, etc. IU is an R1 university and the flagship campus in
the Indiana public university system, with a particular emphasis on
liberal arts education (though the business and law schools are big).
The Geography Department here is going through a period of rapid
expansion and, to my mind at least, very positive change with a renewed
commitment to collegiality, integration across geographic sub-fields,
and teaching. There are also lots of possibilities for
cross-departmental ties with American Studies, Gender Studies, our new
School of International and Global Studies, and the human rights
initiative run through the law school.
Please feel free to get in touch with any questions.
Best,
Rebecca
