For those who manage electronic records or have a key role in shaping their organisation's digital recordkeeping culture, we are delighted to have secured Dr Jones Lukose Ongalo, Head of Records and Archives at the International Criminal Court in The Hague as a keynote speaker on Thursday morning. If you have not already seen previous publicity, he will be speaking on, 'Accountability in a digital culture and the changing role of Records and Archives Management in an International Criminal Court'.
The Information Market Place will also be held on Thursday, opening at 10am. It will be a great opportunity to speak with specialist recordkeeping vendors. Serving committee members of various ARA Sections and Groups will also be there to meet delegates as well as promote ways in which they can help and support your ongoing development needs.
Again, for those interested in electronic recordkeeping, the Friday mid-morning session will concentrate on 'Managing the Digital World'. Toi Chi Kwok, the Assistant Director (Records Management) from the National Archives of Singapore will be speaking about policy and strategy for preserving electronic evidential records. This will be followed by an exploration into the relationship between the records manager and their IT colleagues by Trudi Wright, a doctoral candidate at McGill University. To complete the session, Melissa Suek from PwC Forensics (Information Governance) will present an analysis of BYOD (Bring you own device) policies.
We hope to see you in Cardiff!
