Job vacancy: Records Assistant
The post is due to start in September 2013 and will be a fixed-term 9 month contract.
Schroders, a global asset management company which manages £236.5 billion (EUR 279.7 billion/$359.2 billion) on behalf of institutional and retail investors, financial institutions and high net worth clients from around the world has an opportunity for a Records Assistant to gain, or increase, their archives and records management experience in the financial industry sector.
Main duties will include: appraisal of legacy business records; preliminary listing; maintenance of records schedules; and basic preservation of historic material. The role will be based in London but will require frequent off-site working. Applicants should have a keen interest in records management and/ or archives and be able to demonstrate strong self-organisation, time management and prioritisation skills, excellent communication skills and thorough attention to detail.
