Dear all stats,
I have a project about warfarin in a cohort. This cohort consists of patients taking and not taking warfarin.
We want to examine the effect of warfarin on warfarin-related outcomes (stroke and major bleed) and death, and we also want to calculate the probabilities of stroke/major bleed/death at the same time. I mean, if I am a physician, before I prescribe a patient warfarin, I may wanna calculate his probabilities of death/stroke/bleed at the same time. And vice versa, if I don't prescribe him warfarin, what are his probabilities of death/stroke/bleed ..
The thing is, because warfarin can decrease stroke and increase bleed, the outcomes are complicated... How to take into account all the outcomes mentioned above (stroke/bleed/death)? Especially if we have to consider death as a competing risk of stroke/bleed?
Thanks very much for your help! Look forward to your suggestions!
Sincerely,
Leo
