Subject: [PSCI-COM] Science in Computer Games
Dear All,
I have an undergraduate independent study student who is looking at the scientific content in popular chart computer games. I am aware of some the work on EteRNA and Foldit, and the really useful studies using interactive games and consoles (Wii Fit) for health and co-ordination benefits, but was wondering if anyone was aware of any published work looking at chart games? By chart games I mean popular Xbox and PlayStation titles whose primary focus is entertainment but often feature a scientific or pseudo-scientific story (plagues, mutations, space travel etc.)
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers
Ian
