Well, it's a conundrum, Max. And sadly a real problem here, but on the other hand, a lot of Canadian books are read ( by those who still read). Still, that mention of To Kill a Mockingbird hits home (there are books about, say, the horrors of what weve done to native, especially in the forced schooling of the young). But then, the problem is partly (& I bet it's true there too) that the funding for schools is so poor, they cant afford to buy new books for classes, so those old, mauled copies are used for another year.
