The Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies at the University of
Bath seeks to appoint a Teaching Fellow in German Language from 1 September 2013.
The Department offers programmes in Modern Languages and European Studies and
International Management and Modern Languages with a major German language
component. You will contribute to the delivery and development of German language
teaching in this context, under the supervision of the Language Co-ordinator for German
and the Director of Language (Learning and Teaching). Experience of contributing to the
development of German language teaching materials will therefore be essential.
A degree in a relevant discipline and experience of teaching German at degree level is
essential. You will be committed to the delivery of high quality language teaching and
keen to profit from the opportunities the Department offers for working collaboratively
with other language teachers. The appointee may also be asked to provide pastoral
support for students in the role of personal tutor.
This is a 10 month post from September until June each year.
