With apologies for cross-posting and thanks for passing on as relevant.
The School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures at the University of
Edinburgh seeks to appoint a candidate to the post of temporary
part-time Teaching Fellow in Research Methods. The successful
candidate will be expected to organise two courses in Research Methods
that are open to Masters students across the School, deliver related
lectures and seminars, and coordinate a programme of workshops
delivered by specialists across the School. As the workload will be
heavier in semester 1, an ability to manage time, liaise with
colleagues, and communicate effectively will be important. Applicants
should have a completed PhD in an area within Literatures, Languages
and Cultures, and experience of teaching in a higher education
context. Prior experience of teaching at postgraduate level will be an
advantage.
We plan to hold interviews on Friday, 9th August. The post is
available from 1st September 2013, on a part-time (0.5 FTE) fixed-term
contract until 31st December 2014.
Salary Scale: £30,424 – £ 36, 298 (pro rata for 17.5 hours per week)
Closing Date: 30th July 2013
