International Workshop
Call for Presentations
There are many issues relevant to an understanding of the use of cycling and obstacles to the use of cycling and its potential for playing a role in a post-fossil fuel, sustainable society. These include the following: transformation pathways for cities to active mobility friendly communities, public bike sharing systems, use of pedelecs and cargo-bikes, interplay of walk-ing and cycling, interfaces between active mobility and other modes, cycling infrastructure as part of the mobility system and its design, cycling ‘highways’, cycling tourism, inclusion of all groups of society, public space, safety issues, the role of stakeholders such as NGOs and activists, planners and all levels of governance.
Presentations on a variety of methods, approaches and settings of applied research are wel-come. For example: interventions; comparative studies; case studies; epidemiological and panel studies; experiments; qualitative and quantitative research; modelling and theoretical work as well as research on transfer to practice, data reliability and validity.
