Subject: Empirical research with translated picturebooks
Hello,
I¹m doing some Masters level research involving an empirical study with
translated picturebooks using both the English translation and the
original language version. I¹m struggling to find papers on children¹s
literature in translation that are not either a) purely theoretical or b)
empirical studies focused on second language learning or learning about
other cultures. My research is about the role of translated picturebooks in
children¹s understanding of the relationship between visual and verbal
narratives at key stage two. Can anyone point me in the direction of any
reading (preferably in English or French)?
Thank you in advance,
Emma
