I am delighted to let you know that a co-funded PhD studentship has been negotiated with Cornwall Council and that the project is multi-agency and interdisciplinary on the ‘troubled families agenda’ with a focus on social work and education.

Project title:
An Evaluation of ‘Troubled Families’ Policy in Cornwall: Transforming lives for those most in need and shaping family services for future challenges
Amount and conditions
Applicants should have a minimum of a first or upper second class bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, such as Social Work, Sociology or Education. Applications from candidates with a relevant Masters qualification will be welcomed. Knowledge and research experience in an area of social science will be desirable.
The studentship is supported for 3 years and includes full Home/EU tuition fees plus a stipend of £13,726 per annum. The studentship will only fully fund those applicants who are eligible for Home/EU fees with relevant qualifications. Applicants normally required to cover overseas fees will have to cover the difference between the Home/EU and the overseas tuition fee rates.
