It provides new approaches for reaching worldwide audiences as well as supporting a range of specialists and experts. From using technology to enhance visitor experience, or developing specialist software particular to the Museum's requirements, to integrating business systems for e-commerce and operational activities - the Museum offers a stimulating environment for new ideas and continuing development, meaning that technical training to maintain and develop skills is high on the agenda for all IT staff.
You will be required to analyse requirements and program new application software collaborating with colleagues inside and outside of IS working on a wide range of development projects for a variety of clients. The Museum requires a programmer who can provide quality, maintainable object orientated code and document their work to a high standard.
Educated to degree level or equivalent you will have experience of the working in a structured project environment capturing and developing user requirements using industry standard techniques and design methodology. You will possess excellent time management and be an excellent communicator and team player.
