Hello
Does anyone have an area/room as part of their library which is open as usual during the day with all other user areas but after core hours becomes a 24/7 access area (study room / computer room). We are discussing providing such an area/room in one of our libraries and are considering how we can secure this area which has been open to all users throughout the day. Students will have brought un-issued books and not for loan materials to this room legitimately during core hours. However between 10pm and 8:30am the room becomes a 24/7 area separated off from the (closed) library but providing access to outside via a door which is activated by their library card. Can anyone suggest solutions which have worked for them particularly:
• How to ensure the area only contains library materials which have been issued to the user
• How to ensure only our users are in this location at closing time.
We do not have RFID.
Many thanks for any advice,
Elizabeth
