Competitive Salary

The University of East London is a dynamic and rapidly expanding university
in the heart of Europe's largest regeneration area and adjacent to the site
of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. UEL is in the top 10 of modern
universities for research in the most recent RAE exercise.

Our School of Psychology is one of the largest and most diverse academic
schools of psychology in the U.K. and has an excellent record in
undergraduate and postgraduate professional training. Research in the school
is represented by the internationally recognised Institute for Research in
Child Development, alongside vibrant research groups in Psychology and Social
Change, Drugs and Addictive Behaviour, Brain, Cognition & Behaviour, Health
Behaviour and Promotion, and Psychology and Education. We are also
strategically developing a new research group encompassing Crime and
Behaviour, and have a number of strengths in applied areas of psychology,
including Positive Psychology. We are committed to the expansion and
diversification of all aspects of our activities.

We are seeking a new colleague to help expand our research activities in
existing or new areas as well as to promote research-led teaching.

You will have a PhD and an established international profile, suitable for
inclusion in the REF, which will include evidence of significant grant
capture and the real-world application of research.
