Urban health and communicable disease conference, The Royal Society of Medicine, Wednesday 18 September 2013
200 years after the birth of John Snow, urban health and communicable disease are still major factors in public health. This meeting will focus on the challenge of working with vulnerable social groups and the interplay between social, behavioural and environmental factors on health and will look at the challenges of prescribing to HIV positive patients. During the afternoon there will be case studies from London based services that are aiming to address gaps in NHS service provision and a keynote speech by Dr Paul Cosford from Public Health England.
