JOB DESCRIPTION FOR JOHNS HOPKINS fMRI POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW
The Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is offering a fulltime position as entry level (non-faculty) Postdoctoral Research Fellow. This position will be filled between now and January 1, 2014, although ideally by 9/1/13.
The fellow MUST have knowledge and experience in both task-based fMRI and resting state BOLD functional connectivity analysis and should be within 5 years of completion of a PhD in a functional imaging-related field. Experience with graph theoretic analysis of resting state BOLD data is highly desirable. Familiarity with fMRI analysis software packages (e.g., AFNI), presentation software (e.g., E-Prime), and Linux OS, strong computer programming skills (e.g., in C/C++ & especially MATLAB) and prior fMRI & image processing experience are absolute requirements.
The primary responsibility of the fellow will be participation in multiple parallel ongoing funded research projects related to brain tumor functional imaging (including projects related to plasticity, neurovascular uncoupling and ultra-high field imaging). The Johns Hopkins Hospital, located in Baltimore, Maryland, is a major international referral center, and our clinical fMRI program benefits from referrals from one of the largest brain tumor centers in the world.
The Johns Hopkins University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity
Employer, and encourages applications from qualified women and minority
candidates. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the State
of Maryland.
