Hi there,
I'm an applied anthropologist working with an engineering company looking at best practice in factoring anthropological and social-psychological variables like sense of place, identity, place attachment, sense of community and belonging into the community impact assessments carried out by building, infrastructure developers (roads, railways, bridges, housing etc) and the extractive industries (oil, gas, mining). I wondered if anyone had written any papers with good case studies showing positive examples where developers had taken such concepts onboard or negative examples where they failed to do so and communities with recognised local attachments were adversely affected. I'm looking for examples of majority communities rather than indigenous people at this point. It's for a journal article.
Grateful if anyone wants to recommend their papers to me.
Thanks v much.
Best wishes,
Cathy Baldwin
