Hi,
Very good points. However, this tyranny exists only because
we let it. Elsevier, Sage and their friends do not have real
power. We have options. For example I refuse, without
further debate, to review for non OA journals, unless my
very closest friends are the editors. Where I can get
resources to pay for it, I go for gold OA journals.
Regards,
Anthony
