Hi FSL community,
I wanted to report what appears to be a bug in fslview operating in an Ubuntu environment. I tried to edit a .nii file and save the modified image out to .nii, and was unable to successfully save out the file as a .nii, even though the FSLOUTPUTTYPE variable was set to NIFTY_GZ. Fslview generated a .hdr and .img file instead, and as it turned out, none of my edits were saved.
I tried the same operation on the same file in a RedHat environment. Here, fslview was able to save out the edited image file then as a .nii file.
In either OS, when I clicked on File> Preferences and selected the 'File I/O' tab, the option to choose a default output type was greyed out, as were the options to 'Save with compression' and 'Create as 4D image'. Incidentally, I had my image unlocked for editing.
I hope that the administrators and creators of fslview can fix this bug, or tell where I made a mistake in my processing.
Thank you!
Susie K
