Part of the reason we did not want to change the storage meeting is that it works so well.
The other reason I can see is that we have dedicated GridPP Storage Staff (ie Wahid, Sam, Brian who report via Jens to the project) and it's important that the core storage team meets regularly and is coordinated. I think that this aspect has worked very well via the storage meeting.
So, as David Colling is the GridPP technical director and has a meeting on Fridays currently discussing cloud computing it was thought that we should try merging technical futures into that one.
We should try this format for a while and review if it's not going well.
