Hello
(1) Does anyone know why 8 mm may (or may not) be an ideal minimum separation between maxima?
(2) It says "local maxima" - does that mean that if two maxima were in two different clusters, they could be less than 8 mm apart?
Someone suggested using (effective FWHM * 1.27) as the minimum. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning.
I'm trying to reduce the number of peaks to be reported in some large clusters (because technically one would report ALL the peaks for each cluster, not just the 3 in the table, I assume - there's just too many of them).
Thanks.
