The next Science Alliance Cymru meeting will be held at Techniquest, Cardiff Bay on July 18 at 5:30. SAC is an informal networking group for science communicators in Wales. The schedule is as follows.
5:40 - 6:00 Bruce Etherington (Community Engagement Manager, Cardiff University) will be speaking on Cardiff University's new secondary school partnership programme.
6:00 - 6:30 Dr Jennifer Geroni (Science Policy Research Analyst, Welsh Government's Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor) will talk on the importance of STEM in the Welsh Curriculum.
6:30 - 6:50 Colin Johnson (former CEO, Techniquest & Mentor, STFC Large Award Scheme) will aim to answer three questions: What funding does STFC offer? What sort of projects are currently being funded in the Large Award Programme? What is STFC expecting to see in a successful application for a Large Award?
