Hi Mark
RAMM is a local authority museum and only six of us can view social media which makes coordination a challenge!
The two of us who contribute to social media are in the content and collections team. The museums manager, marketing manager, publicity assistant and designer have access to social media too.
For exhibitions we include social media in the exhibition planning process, with the exhibition project team (internal and external ) having an opportunity to contribute to the social media plan as part of the wider promotion package.
For other work we coordinate with the marketing team initially and then directly with any colleagues contributing content for social media.
It generally works well, especially the exhibitions process. We only have problems if something for social media is left until the last minute but we're all familiar with that problem I'm sure!
Regards
Rick
