We are looking for an experienced bibliographic services expert to work with our client (a significant special collection in central London) on developing current library cataloguing practices and advising on simplifying library processes. The outputs of this project will support the introduction of an integrated workflow for selection, acquisition and cataloguing tasks. You will also provide initial training for the library team in applying the new standards and processes, and create training materials for use in follow-up training sessions. We are looking for someone who will work with the team in an inclusive way, to ensure that the new standards and processes are fit for purpose, and that there is ownership by library staff. We envisage this work will take between 10 and 20 days and be completed by October 2013. We are currently inviting expressions of interest with a view to quoting for this project on a consultancy basis.
