£20,688 (prorated from £34,480 pa) - Band D.
Part-time, 21 hours per week
We are looking to appoint an experienced professional in the information and heritage sector to manage and develop a variety of projects across the College's library, museums and archives.
The post holder will take the lead in projects relating to fundraising for our Designated collections and for a substantial redevelopment project, Transforming Access to Surgical Knowledge (TASK), working closely with the College's Development Office. Your project management skills, fundraising experience, motivation and vision will assist in your crucial role to ensure the on-going development of the TASK project and the communication of progress to all stakeholders.
Audience development is a fundamental part of our activities, and you will use your customer focus to deliver the recommendations of our Audience Development Plan, helping us to fully understand the needs of our users, and contribute to our business planning and strategy development.
The successful candidate will have a first degree and qualifications in an area directly relevant to the library, museum or archive sector. You will have proven experience and enthusiasm for working across the domains and managing teams or collections in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will have the confidence and interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues, stakeholders, potential funders and users to ensure the success of your projects. You will demonstrate your ability to work at both strategic and operational levels, with clear analytical and problem solving skills.
This is a 12 month maternity cover post on a part time basis working 21 hours per week from 19th August 2013 to 31st August 2014.
