UKSG are pleased to announce the programme for our November One-Day
Conference:
Open Access Realities: global experiences of implementing OA
Thursday 14 November 2013, London
While research and the debate around Open Access continues, policy
developments globally means that all key stakeholders including the
publishing industry, academics, librarians, University leaders, research
councils and other research-funding organisations must already work towards
its practical implementation.
What are the implications, strategically and operationally, of introducing
new mandates and business models? What have been the challenges - and
surprises - so far? What existing strengths have proved useful, and what
skills or knowledge gaps have emerged?
UKSG's 2013 One-Day Conference brings together speakers from across the
scholarly communications sector to explore all these issues and more.
(Information and links on our new event – the UKSG Forum: Library Discovery
Technologies which will take place the following day can be found at the
bottom of this email).
