Hi,
I am installing a CE and some WNs (EMI2 version) using Condor as batch
system, and I've incurred in a dependency problem between emi-wn and the
condor package from the official HTCondor repository.
On nodes where the condor rpm is already installed, some of the emi-wn
dependencies are satisfied (namely libvomsapi.so.1 and
libglobus_ftp_client.so.2), thus the "yum install emi-wn" command skips
some essential packages like voms and globus-ftp-client.
Unfortunately the condor libraries are in a non standard location, so
the commands voms-proxy-info and globus-url-copy don't work.
I solved the issue by removing condor and emi-wn RPMs, and re-installing
them in the reversed order.
Do I have to expect problems in case of future updates for the emi-wn
package? I hope I won't have to remove and reinstall condor at every EMI
upgrade...
Cheers,
David
P.S. I could have set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to /usr/lib64/condor, but
I'm trying to have an installation as "standard" as possible...
