Workshop on Phase Equilibria Modelling

The deadline for booking space on this workshop through the 
Goldschmidt2013 website is June 25th. To register for the workshop alone 
and not the conference go to the Goldschmidt Registration page at 
http://goldschmidt.info/2013/registration and select "accompanying 
person (social only)" as the registration category, you may then 
register and pay for the workshop without attending the conference.

This workshop is aimed at metamorphic geologists who already have 
experience of using phase equilibria calculation software. During day 1, 
the workshop will address: the thermodynamics of end-members of phases, 
activity-composition relations and phase diagram principles (in the 
morning); and, thermodynamics and phase diagrams in the context of 
metamorphic processes and the application of phase equilibria to rocks 
(in the afternoon). Day 2 will comprise short presentations that 
showcase new methods for addressing particular problems. Registrants who 
are interested in contributing to Day 2 should send a title and short 
abstract to the Co-conveners before June 25th (the registration 
deadline); please state whether you are requesting an oral presentation 
(new methods etc.) or a poster (applications).
