Hello everyone
Can anyone please recommend a key paper or two that would allow me to explore the geographies of UK alcohol culture with regard to the creation of 'drinking zones' in UK towns?
I am a performance studies -turned- cultural geographer looking at town carnivals in the south west UK.
I am seeking to tie my ethnographic data on the role of seafront Esplanades as ritual spaces for carnivals to their function as controlled drinking zones within tourism, considering spatialities, policing etc.
I need some reading to help frame my ideas.
All help appreciated
best wishes
