The INSIGHT Centre for Big Data Analytics is a joint initiative between researchers at University
College Dublin, NUI Galway, University College Cork, and Dublin City University, as well as other
partner institutions. It will bring together a critical mass of more than 200 researchers from Ireland's
leading ICT centres to develop a new generation of data analytics technologies in a number of key
application areas.
Post-doc (4 years) in Bayesian methods for big data:
This role will focus on advanced Bayesian methods to meet the challenges posed by Big Data.
Specifically, it will focus on the development of next generation Bayesian methods capable of scaling
to large data. There will also be scope to develop application oriented projects with industrial partners.
Further details, including the application procedure, can be found here:

Post-doc (2 years) in scalable machine learning:
The successful candidate for this position will be the lead researcher on a team working on the
statistical analysis of high-dimensional data. The work will entail fundamental research at the interface
of statistics and machine learning and also the application of these methods in areas of interest to the
INSIGHT industry partners. In particular we are interested in problems involving low-rank matrix
estimation and high-dimensional variable selection.
Further details, including the application procedure, can be found here:
