Dear colleague,
The following may be of interest to you or your staff...
HL7 UK, UCL (CHIME) and the University of Leeds (YCHI) are working in
partnership to offer a two-day summer school course on advanced HL7
designed specifically for professionals working on e-health
applications and on the design, development and integration of health
information systems.
Based on the campus of the University of Leeds, the school combines
the expertise and teaching resources of HL7 UK with two of the UK's
leading centres for health informatics teaching UCL (Professor Dipak
Kalra) ) and Leeds University (Owen Johnson).
The event will be unlike a conventional training course in that it
will be designed to encourage networking and dialogue between everyone
attending through both an evening event on the first day and also an
expert panel session, which will include Keith Naylor, responsible in
the NHS for ITK standards.
Content will include:
· Exploring design principles in planning new Trust-Trust
exchanges of clinical data
· Using HL7 CDA for exchanging clinical documents, including
NHS ITK Correspondence profiles
· A case study drawn from current practice (designing capture
of clinical data in a new setting and establishing linkage to national
data sets)
· Issues in utilising interoperability standards and tools
within the UK NHS
· Clinic session with an expert panel
· An up-to-the-minute review for 2013 of the capabilities and
status of EHR systems in use
We are charging very reasonable rates for 2 packed course days at an
excellent facility.
