Call for Case Studies for AKISS 2013
AKISS is a new event and forum which has been created with practical solutions for you in mind. Are you an Information Management (IM), Knowledge Management (KM) and Records Management (RM) professional who wants to share experiences and identify solutions to help you do your job more effectively?
We are looking for case studies to be presented and discussed at AKISS on the practical ways in which you have met the challenges of delivering IM, KM and RM today.
• Stories of the benefits you have delivered in the fields of IM, KM and RM and how you have risen to the challenges you have faced
• Case studies of tools you have used, especially new tools you have developed, yourself, and in collaboration with others
• Examples of how failing to apply sound IM, KM and RM strategies and expertise has hindered your organisation.
We welcome case studies from all areas of IM, KM and RM. Suggested areas include but are certainly not limited to: doing more with less; managing change and evolving services; improving service through standards and compliance; managing information across loosely connected social network structures; harnessing technology; information governance; increasing knowledge transfer, influencing organisational structures and successful user engagement
The case study summaries should be around 200-500 words long. They should be concrete, based on real experiences, and should focus on one specific angle of IM, KM or RM (you can submit more than one study!).
Why submit a case study?
• Truly contribute to the development of Information and Knowledge Management best practice
• Interact and network with your peers and share your experiences, successes and challenges
• Identify new partners either from the world of practice or research to work with on your current or next initiative
• Your case studies will be reviewed by senior managers of the Information and Knowledge Management industry
• You have the chance to have your case study selected to be published in a relevant Emerald publication, and/or featured in Managing Information magazine
• The best case study will receive an award presented at AKISS.
The deadline for proposals is 8th July, and for the full case study (text for a 20 minute presentation), 2nd September. Please send to Graham Coult, conference programme chair, email: [log in to unmask]
