Dear colleagues,
The University of Greenwich and the Open University are jointly organising a workshop on Smart Urban Transport Policy Futures. The workshop will seek to explore new models of consumption in personal and business mobility, including the market development of Electric Vehicles (EVs). The event coincides with the European Union’s Sustainable Energy Week and is financially supported by the Santander Universities’ network and the University of Greenwich Business School.
This workshop aims to bring together transport academics, early career researchers as well as business and thought leaders to reflect on key mobility challenges and opportunities facing cities in the UK, Europe and the wider global context, including a particular focus on Electric Mobility. Apart from invited speakers there is the opportunity for participants to present/discuss current and on-going research.
The extended Call for Papers for this workshop is available through the event blog pages at: http://greenwichtransportnetwork.wordpress.com/welcome/
and a PDF-version can be downloaded here: http://greenwichtransportnetwork.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/uog-ou-workshop-call-0205131.pdf
Please note, this is a free event, but participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation. We currently have 50 available places so please register your interest as soon as possible.
** Bursaries to cover for accommodation and travel costs for a limited number of PhD students are available **
Acceptance decisions for contributions will be based on the submitted abstracts for either a presentation or facilitating a workshop. Abstracts should be no longer than 500 words, and must be submitted by May 31st 2013.
