I am not aware of any built-in solution, but Rik Henson has a nice overview:

with a "MATLAB" equation (Eqn 1) you can use to calculate design efficiency.

Subject: [SPM] Calculating design efficiency
Hi all,
Is there any simple way of calculating and comparing design efficiencies using spm?
For example, I want to compare different designs before I do them. So I specify them using spm but entering the time of trial onset.. Now I have different spm.mat but I hope that I can find a practical way to compare them and find the most efficient one.
Any help please!
Thanks
