South Essex College has exciting plans for its Learning Service. The post will have specific responsibility for the management of the Learning Services relationships and support for academic and professional services customers and partners inside and outside the College. Integral to the role is the development of an "account planning" programme which covers current and future requirements from customers for all learning services.
The post holder will lead teams of Learning Services experts providing specific library, information resources, user and resources data, learning technology support and digital literacy services to the user community as well as acting as focal points for co-ordinating user need across the College. The successful candidate will be have a degree or relevant professional qualification and experience within a similar role.

£30, 000 - £35,000 per annum (pro rata)

At South Essex College we are embarking on a new and exciting way in which our learners study. In this digital and technological age and with a strong ethos of teaching and learning we are re-defining and invigorating the facilities and resources available. This will provide our students with the most up to date technology and methods to support their learning. We are seeking two innovative and enthusiastic persons who will be responsible for facilitating the effective development and management of Higher Education (HE) and Further Education (FE) independent learning and research skills, learning spaces and digital skills across the College. The post-holders will ensure successful matrix operation across locations and will be expected to maximise both human and technical resources to enhance the service provided to HE and FE Learning Services users. The successful candidates will ensure both quality and equity of service delivery and contribute to the development of colleagues as part of the Learning Services HE development programme. The ideal candidates will have a relevant Level 6 qualification, Librarian Chartership and a minimum of 5 years experience of working in HE or HE in FE and FE learning resources or library.
