Thanks all for your replies. Seems like Hootsuite is the winner, although
we are going to have to go for the paid option to deal with our 5 Twitter
accounts and 5 Facebook project pages!
Thanks and have a lovely weekend
Kat

Hi Kat,
I'd echo Nick's IFTTT recommendation although as he says you can no longer
trigger a post to another service from a tweet. You can still use posting to
Twitter as an end 'action' though - ie you could flag Facebook posts on
Twitter if not the other way around. And there are lots of other pretty
sophisticated things you can play with on IFTTT if you have the time/desire!
I also use Hootsuite which allows cross-posting between multiple accounts
and networks including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. It's a similar
tab/column-based interface to Tweetdeck but is web-based. Free and pro
versions available. www.hootsuite.com

Hi Kat. I'd recommend If This, Then That (http://ifttt.com). It allows you
to connect various 'channels' like Facebook and Twitter together, so that
doing something on channel A causes something to happen on channel B. It's
trivial to set up a recipe that automatically tweets any new Facebook posts,
for example. But the Twitter channel has no triggers, so you can't post to
Facebook whenever you tweet. I assume this is down to Twitter's API. You can
work around this by using an RSS feed of your Twitter account as a trigger -
but, of course, the further down this path you go, the further it takes you
from Tweetdeck's simplicity.
At any rate, I'd recommend giving IFTTT a try - depending on your needs, it
might work very well for you. It also goes way, way beyond simply
replicating social media posts - I've used it to add new items from our
research repository to Google Calendar, for example, giving me an automatic
monthly overview and archive of activity. There are thousands of existing
recipes you can use straight away, and the community is a constant source of
innovative uses.

I was disappointed to discover that Tweetdeck have decided to discontinue
their integration with Facebook, as I've always found it really easy to use,
and that it requires the minimum effort to update a fairly underused
Facebook page.

I just wondered which tools other people were using for managing multiple
Twitter/Facebook accounts simultaneously- I know there are a few but
recommendations would be good!
Thanks all
