Hi, I have been plugging away with a MELODIC issue for quite a while now
I normally run my analyses on my Ubuntu workstation, but sometimes I like to dig into them further and run Melodic on the macbook..
I have re-sampled the pre-processed images and normalised to 4mmm and then run Melodic TICA through the command line, like this
melodic -i /Users/dsoto/Documents/fMRI/wmbias_rs_task/taskdata4mm/taskicalist.txt -o /Users/dsoto/Documents/fMRI/wmbias_rs_task/task_melodictica4mm -v --nobet --bgthreshold=10 --tr=2.5099999905 --report --mmthresh=0.5 -a tica --Tdes=/Users/dsoto/Dropbox/imaging/Exps/uWM_WMgui/wmgui/design.mat --Tcon=/Users/dsoto/Dropbox/imaging/Exps/uWM_WMgui/wmgui/design.con
Using the very same images and code I get disparate ICs when run in Ubuntu vs on Mac
In both cases I get the same number of components (i.e. 85) but I think the ICs from the Mac can't be right becos each component appears to explain a high % of variance (i.e. >7%, which can not be the case considering there are 85 ICs).
I tried different things, like fully uninstalling FSL5 and doing a clean install of FSL5 in the Mac… I also run the analyses using the Melodic GUI and separately using the command line on my Ubuntu and get the same results
but what happends in my macbook remains a mistery. I am running Lion on it.
I also run the MElodic practical on my Mac using the data of your online course and I do get the components that appear in the example, so this only adds more confusion.
Any ideas what can be wrong?
cheers
ds
