Hi all,
Last year I borrowed this book from the university library (good copy). After reading it, I thought I should keep a copy in my laboratory. So I ordered one from Amazon in March (bad copy), which has the same problems as Wayne pointed out. I am going to notify both Amazon and OUP.
Here are some differences between the two copies:
1. Good copy - "Printed in Great Britain on acid-free paper by CPI Antony Rowe, Chippenham, Wiltshire"
bad copy - "Printed and bound by CPI Group (UK) Ltd, Croydon, CR0 4YY"
2. Good copy - the numbers under ISBN are "10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1"
bad copy - the numbers under ISBN are "10 9 8 7 6 5 4"

Hi all,
Yes, I had the same experience, and had notified OUP as of
26 Apr, 2012. They acknowledged the problem, statying that
it should have been picked up by their production people and
noted they "Will correct!".
That was the last I heard from them.
I agree that it's a landmark book and would appreciate this
problem being addressed.
