I think what you've found is more along the lines of similar
mathematical algorithms being applied in different physical
circumstances, and in biological systems being created by convergent
evolution. This is to be expected: Mathematically you have a similar
problem, and a similar solution is selected for.
Whether Plato and Pythagoras were on to it or not, and merely lacked a
method of expression is a possibility. However, that in itself
represents a convergent solution...
