Greetings and Blessings
I really hope that you are able to come along to our live stage reading of a
new exciting episodic radio play to be aired this summer on a local
community radio station in London.
The pilot reading will be from 3pm - 4pm on Sunday 16th June 2013. After the
reading we’d like it if you participate in our interactive audience
feedback.
The pilot series ‘492 Korna Klub’ written by Jacque Fergus focuses on an
Afro Caribbean family deciding to return back home, after 50 years of life
in the UK. They run a community centre in their spare time near to where
they live in South London. Their forthcoming silver wedding anniversary
plans to handover their possessions to their siblings’ leads to
difficulties. Staff at the community centre are up in a peril organising
activities and events for their launch.
The play explores the themes of family, community and social and political
injustices. It also offers to illustrate the solutions to unite and heal the
problems that exist and blight that community.
The original idea was conceived by
www.tonycealy.com<http://www.tonycealy.com/> and jointly developed with
Clare Douglas. It’s been commissioned and produced by Noh Budget Films.
The aim is to air the episodic series for community cohesion and development
amongst these difficult times we live in. We aim to make each episode
interactive, offering audience participation so that listeners interact with
the cast and suggest solutions to the ongoing drama.
The pilot will be staged at the Lost Theatre 208 Wandsworth Road London SW8
2JU the event is free and only 50 seats are available (Pease donate £
towards hire of venue and refreshments) on a first come first served basis
