Dear colleagues
We have some Gertrude Jekyll letters, some written on both sides and some of several pages (mostly on quite thin paper), which are to be loaned out shortly for an external exhibition. Currently these are not numbered in any way. They are likely to be fairly popular as exhibition items and I am wondering if there is a better way of identifying them with their unique reference number, rather than writing on them in 2B pencil – which may detract from their visual impact.
Has anyone found a way around this that still ensures the item is identifiable, should it for any reason go astray?
Thanks.
Liz
