Faye did also very kindly send a copy of David's instructions to my e-mail address. Apart from giving the URL for the Adlib COPAC gateway, they are more helpful than the download from the Adlib FAQ page because the screenshot used shows the complete screen and gives the context of where to put the COPAC-specific information so that if, like ourselves, you have a non-standard application with no friendly databases set up already, it is possible to see where in Adlib Designer the changes need to be made (it was crucial for me to realize that the friendly databases are part of the application set up, not the database set up).
I now have COPAC working as a friendly database on a test copy of our application, although the results are a bit disappointing, to be honest. Among the reasons for that could be the non-standard nature of our application but I also don't have the qbf_ext screen specified in David's set up details - it isn't in the download available from the Adlib FAQ page. As a quick fix, I made a copy of qbf_bl and renamed it qbf_ext. Is there anywhere on the Adlib site that I can get hold of the correct qbf_ext screen? It would seem sensible to test with that before I comment further!
With thanks,
Peter
