I guess so - perhaps everyone should do one - but not all will be any
good - Kenneth Grant's oeuvre could be considered as such ?
the three fold + one structure is perhaps archetypal?
hence the fourth book of The Occult Philosophy
or fourth Veda?
Should also be said that in the Hindu Intellectual tradition the
writting of a commentary, often on
obscure original is a philosophical form in its own right - related to
the dialectical method -
there are many commentaries in that literature but only one or two
become classics in their own right ?
