*I take it Salt is no longer getting the money to allow publishing
single author poetry collections?
*
*I find it curious that books are still looked at an an economic
production until and books as complex assemblage and as artworks are not
considered...
*
*On my figures POD still does not make for a viable product and photo
books and high end art books can still come in at around $500 a copy and
even this may not meet expenses, so it is high risk, money wise, aside
from the ongoing technical limits, which don't seem far past 20 years
ago when POD first appeared. (Off set can still be cheaper then POD)
*
*and damn it, the narcotic has run out and have gone into opioid
withdrawal... can't say more, see--

*
*After thirteen years and over 400 poetry collections, many by debut
authors, Salt is to concentrate its ongoing publishing on its /Best
British Poetry/ anthology series.*
The move will mean that the business will no longer be commissioning new
single-author collections, though the press is not ruling out a return
to publishing some in the future
