Dear Colleagaues
In addition to the XOT training event taking place in London, I would like to draw your attention to the event taking place at the University of Glasgow, delivered by Ron Mitchell.
Free XOT Training Event
* 10 am – 3:30pm Tuesday 21st May 2013.
* University of Glasgow IT suite (Jura Lab).
* Level 4 (see map location D:11 of the Campus Map<http://www.gla.ac.uk/media/media_1887_en.pdf>).
Xerte online Toolkits (XOT) is a free content creation tool developed by Nottingham University in collaboration with Jisc Techdis and enables the creation of accessible, interactive online content using a series of templates. It allows staff to create rich online content.
Xerte can be used:
* To support blended learning.
* To support collaborative creation and sharing of subject content.
* To support active classroom/lecture contexts, especially with interactive whiteboards.
* To support learners in being active content creators.
* It has a range of accessibility benefits (colour and font change, keyboard access and text to speech) built into it.
This event will be of interest to:
* Staff who have attended XOT training previously and who have a tacit knowledge of the XOT interface.
* Learning Technologists.
* Curriculum staff who are interested in/comfortable with developing educational content.
* Staff who want to create inclusive content and who have competent technical skills.
Further information is provided in the attached PDF document. To reserve a place follow this link to the RSC Scotland events page at: http://tiny.cc/RSCScotland-Xerte
Kindest Regards
Margaret
