A joint NRM and TNA day conference

Railways have completely changed our lives. They've affected how we work
and play, and
transformed our landscape. Everyone has felt the effects of the railway
revolution in some way
– good or bad. On 7 and 14 September 2013, The National Archives and the
National Railway
Museum will be holding one-day conferences at Kew (7th) and York (14th)
to look at how
railways have changed lives, drawing on the archives and collections of
TNA and the NRM.
The programme will deal with some big themes but will also draw on
personal stories.
Speakers include specialist staff from TNA and the NRM, and transport
historians.
Price: £50 (£45 early bird offer until 25 April) – includes lunch,
