Supporting and Assessing Healthcare Students in Practice
A PebblePad Special Interest Symposium
A one day event hosted by Pebble Learning for those interested in exploring how learner support, feedback and assessment can be managed through PebblePad using mentors and assessors from practice settings.
The symposium features a range of invited speakers from institutions currently using PebblePad to support learners working in practice placement settings. The presentations will highlight how PebblePad is supporting assessment processes and the development of student’s reflective skills, as well as the ways it is being used to provide support and feedback actively using mentors and assessors.
This will be of interest to academics and practice teams developing strategies for support and assessment utilising mentors and assessors to encourage reflection, provide support and feedback and record decisions around competency in practice. This event is also aimed at those with responsibility for embedding the use of PebblePad for support and assessment of healthcare learners in Nursing and Midwifery and other Allied Health Professions where placement learning and assessment in practice form a large part of their programme or course.
The event will offer an opportunity to consider the practices of others and to reflect upon their applicability in the delegate’s own context. Principally this is an event for sharing interesting and innovative practice.
