Urban Fruit - Street Wrapper première 
Urban Fruit - Street Wrapper is the latest work of Dutch artists Esther Polak and Ivar van Bekkum and is currently presented at the Drones / Birds: Princes of Ubiquity exhibition. Based on the charming principle of the Orange Wrapper, the work consists of a print on-demand service that is able to print any Street View location as a 3-d panorama print. 

During the exhibition one can enjoy the experience of panorama and perspective by folding and unfolding the wrapper. 

In the show the artists present wrappers of earlier purchases by collectors, but also special locations in Street View of their own choice, like the penguin colony in Livingstone, or the deserted and damaged area near Fukushima that recently became part of Street View. 

It is possible to order your own Wrapper on the spot or via Internet. The financial discount construct is an inextricably part of the work, and prices are very modest:  between 25-100 euros depending on the collector’s willingness to contribute in-kind. (see below)

Brussel
The project premières at the exhibition Drones / Birds: Princes of Ubiquity.  www.thedigitalnow.be (11-21 April) as part of the off-program of Art Brussel. This exhibition is inspired by the way birds are reflecting our contemporary relation with technology, with work by -amongst others- David Bowen, Zimoun and Paolo Cirio.

If you send us (contact(at)polakvanbekkum(dot)nl) the location of your liking, we produce the StreetView panorama of your choice. All wrappers are numbered and signed. You will receive two Wrappers, one copy to fold and one to hang on the wall (if desired) 

Price: 100 euros ex 6% VAT and transport. You can earn a discount of 25 euros for sending us the story that goes with you location, another 25 euros if you post the text on you own social networks (with link to the project), and another 25 euros if you ad a relevant picture to the text/post.
