Keele is collaborating with Birmingham and Warwick Universities to provide
the NIHR Research Design Service for the West Midlands (RDSWM). The Keele
hub leads on advising on Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in
Research. Your
role will be to provide information and other advisory resources to
increase researchers' understanding of PPI in research, to contribute to
the success of the RDSWM by increasing the number and quality of
applications which include high quality approaches to PPI submitted to NIHR
funding schemes and increase the evidence base surrounding PPI in health
research. You will also work with existing networks and organisations
across the region and nationally to promote and facilitate active patient
and public involvement in research. Increasing the evidence base around PPI
in research is a key aspect of the post and the successful applicant will

consequences of PPI in primary care research.
You will have a PhD in Social Science (e.g. sociology, social policy) or a
health related discipline, or have equivalent experience of sustained
