I am writing to invite you to the fifth Genre Studies Network (see http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/schools/lcahm/departments/russian/research/genre-studies-network.aspx)workshop, which will take place at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, University of Birmingham, on 29 April 2013. The full programme with all details is attached. We are particularly pleased that staff of the Barber Institute of Fine Arts (see http://barber.org.uk/) will give our delegates a special Genre Tour around their fantastic collections after lunch. As usual, participation and lunch are free for all delegates who register in advance by emailing me (Natasha Rulyova at [log in to unmask]).

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
